Six Carats, Oval Cut

The oval spends its weight on presence, and at six carats the effect is unmistakable — length that runs the finger, brilliance that reads across a room, without the vertical bulk of a round at the same weight. Each six-carat oval in this collection is certified by GIA, IGI or HRD and set bespoke, with the mount built to the stone rather than the stone dropped into a mount.

How big does a 6 carat oval look?

Larger than the number suggests. A well-proportioned oval at a 1.35–1.50 length-to-width ratio reads closer to a seven-carat round face-up, because the elongated crown covers more finger per carat. The ratio is on the certificate, and we read it with you — it matters more than the carat mark alone.

What should I check on a stone this size?
